Blake Williams, Seth Polvadore, Dave Muller, and Scott Hewitt were all crowned NHRA Pacific Division Summit Super Series Showdown Champions on Sept. 30 and will now advance to the Summit Series National Championship in November at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.
The four, along with Garrett Parsons in the High School Class outlasted their fields to take home the trophies. They were led by Blake Williams, Chandler, Ariz., in the Super Pro class and Dave Muller in Sportsman, who had to win Saturday’s Division Championship to advance to Sunday’s Summit Showdown, that matches up the top points earners from each of the tracks in the division for the chance to advance to Pomona.
Muller, who went deep into elimination rounds on Saturday, won on a double breakout with Ryan Mangus, Rialto, Calif. Muller went 12.452 (12.47 dial) in his ’74 Camaro to Mangus’ 12.708 (12.74) in his ’71 Nova.
