Local favorite Hewitt, Bakersfield, Calif., raced to the win aboard his ’95 Suzuki in 8.676 seconds at 147.50 mph beating Denny Alves, El Cerrito, Calif.

Monroe, Utah, resident Parsons, took his ’67 Cutlass all the way to the winner’s circle in High School as Gage Cameron, Bakersfield, Calif., turned on the red-light giving Parsons the automatic win. Parsons ran it out at 12.217 seconds, 109.42 mph.
