In the final round Steve Jackson, Martinez, Ga., took his ’93 Mustang to the first ADRL Pro Drag Radial win, clocking a 4.526 at 178.26 mph.

Mark Micke (near lane) was runner up with a 4.790/138.81 in his Jefferson City, Missouri-based ’79 Malibua. Both drivers were asleep on the line with Jackson have a 0.217 Reaction Time and Micke a 0.385.

The class was a hit with the racers and fans and plans are to run these X275 cars at the ADRL events in Martin, Mich., on June 29-30 and again at Houston Oct. 19-20.

A Gamblers race was held for the Pro Drag Radial non-qualifiers. Shane Stack of Huntsville, Ala., got the final-round win on a holeshot over Enzo Pecchini from Woodbridge, Ontario, to take the $1,000 prize from Pro-Line Racing Engines. Stack was driving an ’86 Monte Carlo that ran 4.633/175.89 and Pecchini wheeled a ’88 Mustang that ran 4.678/173.47.
