Junior Fuel winner Ken Hawkins being backed up by Robin Smith.

Junior Fuel did see a sweep, however, as Ken Hawkins led qualifying with a 7.355 and then had low elapsed time of all three rounds as he defeated Mike Buchanan in round one, soloed in the second and then left on and flat outran Steve Dunklin in the final with a 7.291/182.06 to Dunklin's 7.388/179.76.

There were also four AA FunnyCcars on hand with Jon Capps wheeling Frank Ousley’s “Crop Duster” Monza that his brother Ron drove the previous weekend in a Goodguys match race at Indianapolis.

Ron Hope’s “Rat Trap” altered.

Also at Bowling Green were Bazz Young in his Camaro, Wayne Mellinger in the Candies Motorsport 'Cuda and Troy Ray's Charger. This group ran in a round robin exhibition format and with no run sheets provided the best that we can tell you is that Young won his first two races with Capps and Ray before falling to Mellinger in the third when he slowed from his earlier 6-teens pace to a 6.265 to Mellinger's 6.145.

The fuel altereds of Ron Hope and Randy Bradford made a series of exhibition passes, four nostalgia Pro Stocks made a series of laps as did the Bruce Larson tribute Camaro, Danny O'Day's wheelstander and a pair of jet cars.
