Jarrod Bradshaw qualified third in 7.50 Pro in the Freels family double. The fans loved the stout burnouts from this torque monster.

Mickey Hale’s Austin

The AA Gas Supercharged cars raced over the eighth mile with an unofficial but agreed upon 5.60 index. Two-time event winner Fred Bear tipped the KS Pittman car over in qualifying and Ted Turley's similar Altizer ‘33 Willy's did the same during eliminations when it appeared that a brake caliper locked up as he was slowing after a first round victory.

Hence the second round became the final with only Mickey Hale's Austin and Jeff Cryan's ‘33 Willys pickup able to compete. They left together but Cryan was a little too quick at 5.489 and Hale took the trophy with a less offensive 5.513.

A line up of 47 cars meant that Modified Eliminator went six rounds to determine a victor and that was Kerry Williams' A/M with a better reaction time allowing him to run less under his 10.0 dial than Dennis Decker's B/M.

As well as the AA/GS cars there were also 16 Geezer Gassers running the full 1320 feet and John Gray came out on top with his E/GG as Bill Sworn broke out in his D/GG while trying to make up a start line disadvantage.

The final of Nostalgia Super Stock was a heads-up affair between the A/NSS cars of Mike Moss and Rocky Bellino with Moss taking the victory with a big holeshot and a closer to the index effort.

Top Stock had 20 cars on hand and in the final Roy Dean got a little anxious and bulbed to give the win to Chad Mahlosky.

The biggest field was in Hot Rod Eliminator where 90 cars battled it out. After seven rounds Terry Lindsey used a solid .006 reaction time to deny Chad Mahlosky a double for the event.
