The future stars of drag racing put on a quite a show for the fans. Chase Purdy of Palm City, Fla. qualified in the top spot. Purdy battled his way into the Final Round to face off against Camryn Fredrickson from Palm Harbour, Fla. Both racers had comparable reaction times off the tree, Purdy at .021 seconds to .038 seconds of Fredrickson. At the 1/8 mile it was Purdy taking the win light after he dialed in at 9.06 seconds to run 9.041 seconds, 71.10 mph as Fredrickson went a little too quick dialing in a 8.33 seconds and running 8.283 seconds, 75.11 mph.

Ultra Street

Ford dominated the Ultra Street class. Ari Birchfield of Hollywood, Fla. took the #1 qualifying position after laying down a 5.057 second, 139.56 mph pass in his 1989 Ford Mustang. After making it into the finals, Birchfield faced off against Brian Keep of Ft. Myers, Fla. in his 1998 Chevy S-10. After running in the low 5's all day, Keep had some problems during the final round running a 9.239 seconds, 57.68 mph to that of the winning pass by Birchfield of 5.036 seconds, 139.13 mph. (AP Photo/Chuck Foster, KillerInstinct Photos)
