Victory NSS at Byron, Illinois

And The Beat Goes On: Berens Claims Third Championship

Cool air and a great track made for exciting launches. This is Jim Hagenhoff.

The Victory NSS Series held its final race of the 2015 season at Byron Dragway’s World Power Wheel Stand Race. With all of the top-ten point positions up for grabs, 34 classic Super Stocks made the call for qualifying. The cool air and the always sticky track allowed the Victory cars to show their best. Quick ET’s and wheels-up launches were the norm in front of the appreciative fans at the historic Byron track.

During the first round of qualifying on Saturday, Scott Bourrell and his gorgeous 1964 Hemi Dodge had the crowd on their feet when he carried the front wheels for 300 feet and used every inch of his lane en route to a 9.02 blast!

Scott Bourrell earned the Brewer's Performance Super Shifter Award in his 4-Speed equipped Hemi Dodge.
