Mark Bellerie

Heading the bill was a Blown versus Turbo Pro Mod bracket and this saw some great racing on the day. The “Mad Professor” Camaro of Rob Taylor had top qualified in the bracket with a 6.042 and then improved to a 6.007 to take out a shaking Mark Bellerie in round one.

Jeff Wilson

In the next round robin match Taylor had a sleepy .290 light that allowed opponent, Jeff Wilson, in his silver Corvette, to strap a holeshot win on him – a 6.058 was enough to take the win over a quicker 5.947 at a booming 249.35. In the last round Taylor received a solo that saw him improve to a 5.869 and with the best stats on the day was awarded the bracket win.

Steve Petrovski

Qualifying saw the turboed 522 cube Camaro of Steve Petrovski have all sorts of issues trying to lay the power down to the track and a 10.22 put him down the list a ways. His fortunes changed in the first round when he faced Michelle Davies in her blown Torana. Basically the little lady smoked the tyres off the line and went across the centreline into Petrovski’s lane, however he was long gone to an improving 6.248.
