Floppers were in abundance at the March Meet, and there were two of the new Camaro bodies with Ryan Hodgson and Dan Horan were sporting the new era Camaros at “The Patch”.

However, defending champion Steven Densham was the low qualifier in his old school Camaro. Densham worked his way to the finals to meet up with “Hollywood” Kris Krabill. Densham was running consistent 5.60’s all weekend long. Krabill was starting eliminations from the second position and got stronger as the eliminations day when on.

In the finals, Krabill and “Uncle” Bucky Austin stepped up their tune up and took the measure of Densham to take the win, and the early points lead.

When the tour made its way to the next stop in Idaho, there were ten cars that made the trek to the event. Spring was coming in like a lion as the racers were dealing with strong head winds for the first two days of the event.

The only appreciable advantage the body seemed to serve as the competitors had to navigate a very stiff 25-knot head wind. That weekend the two Victory bodied cars were six to nine miles per hour faster than the other competitors. However, it was Steven Densham in an old school Camaro body that was the quickest elapsed time.

Once again, through eliminations it was Krabill that progressively got stronger as the day went on and in the finals met up with former champion Dan Horan who now had Dale Pulde twisting the knobs and calling the shots. However, it was Krabill who took the win, and the points lead.
