Maybe a little hype from ESPN would help

With over fifty NHRA races under my belt, I wonder where all the crowds have gone.

I can't figure ESPN out. I watch the coverage faithfully, but it seems they are shooting themselves in the foot. They show the drags on their network but don't help there own ratings. Why? What would it take to have the results on Sportscenter? How long could it take? Imagine if some of the sportscasters were to say something, anything about the races.

NASCAR, NASCAR, NASCAR, but what about NHRA? Why telecast it? Wouldn't it be cool if Steward Scott or someone said, "Imagine people, these nuts are going 300 miles an hour in 1000 feet; they’re nuts, check them out!" And why does it always get pushed forward for women’s synchronized blindfolded swimming or something like that? And Primetime Qualifying for the rest of the year (12:30am-2am.) Just wondering.

Kudos to Baker

Wow Jim, you blew one out of the park. That segment was top shelf. I really like the part about Stan and you and the Pontiac car that John Evans ran and I raced him at Springfield, Illinois.

Thanks, thanks, thanks again.

Looking from the outside…

I wonder how the ADRL exists by the pictures I see showing the bleachers. There seems to be almost no one there in most photos I see. How do they exist? And although I have not attended one event, I cannot see why they exist.

Dixon clarified

Actually guys, what Larry Dixon said during an interview out at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ, was that he felt he was ready to own his team some day and would be working towards that in 2012.
