Tim Cullinen and Dale Suhr will match race their Nostalgia Top Fuel dragsters Saturday night at the July 14-15 “Night of Fire” at Cedar Falls Motorsports Park in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The two have been added to a lineup that includes the DRO AA/FC Challenge presented by www.HemiPartsKing.com and the Victory Nostalgia Super Stocks, along with bracket racing.
The DRO cars already at the track include Paul Romine in "Man O' War", winner of the first 2017 DRO AA/FC Challenge at San Antonio in May, former two-time champion John Hale in "One Bad Texan", Fred Farndon in "Play It Loud", Kevin Lennon in "Shake n' Bake", Bazz Young in "Down-Under Thunder" and Ronny Young in "Blue Max".
The spectator price for Friday is a mere $10. [07/14/17]

A note in the old mayo jar high atop the Phlegm Building penthouse porch this morning tells us that The Enthusiast Networ (formerly Petersen Publishing) has been purchased (or will be soon) by the Discovery Channel. [07/14/17]
Del Worsham, one of only three men to win World Championships in both Top Fuel and Funny Car, has been added to the lineup for the 64th annual World Series of Drag Racing to be held on Aug. 25-27 at Cordova International Raceway.
Worsham currently drives his family-owned Funny Car in NHRA competition.
It was previously announced that three-time World Champion Larry Dixon would participate in the World Series of Drag Racing, as it returns to its longtime home in Illinois. International Hot Rod Association President Mike Dunn and his former car owner, Roland Leong, will serve as World Series Grand Marshals. [07/14/17]
