Hale brings the sauce to Worsham’s car at Dallas

John Hale will take some time off from driving his “One Bad Texan” AA/Funny Car to get behind the wheel of Del Worsham’s nitro FC at the Texas FallNationals.

Hale sealed the deal with Worsham just before this weekend’s race and will bring some money to the gig with sponsorship by his Best of Texas Barbeque Sauce.

“John is an experienced driver, I have confidence in his abilities and he’s from this area and I’d like to see him do well here,” Worsham said. “I really didn’t have a whole lot of sponsorship for this weekend, but I really felt like the car needs to be run, so everything just makes sense for John to drive it here.”

Hale previously drove in the Big Show for Big Jim Dunn and most recently drove for Steve Plueger in April 2017 at Las Vegas. He was a two-time champion in the DRO AA/FC Challenge.

Hight back on track at Dallas

Crew chief Jimmy Prock gets Hight ready on the starting line at St. Louis.

The Agent was relieved to finally see some pre-race PR from JFR about Robert Hight competing at the Dallas race.

“My crew chiefs have really done a great job all season. There have been changes to the track prep that threw all the Funny Car teams for a loop but Jimmy (Prock) and Chris (Cunningham) just went to work and figured out a way to give me a really quick and fast race car. I have a ton of confidence,” said Hight.

“We should have a two-race winning streak right now but I messed up in Reading. I am looking forward to the last four races because I have a great team and an awesome Chevrolet Camaro Funny Car.”

Everyone is very happy to hear that Hight is back.
