Strutmasters.com has extended their major associate sponsor agreement with Lex Joon Racing for multiple races during the 2020 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Joon will banner the Strutmasters.com name as a major associate partner on his Top Fuel Dragster entry starting at the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla.

Strutmasters is also on the vehicles of Justin Ashley, Bo Butner, Doug Foley, Terry Haddock, Clay Millican, Johnny Pluchino and Janette Thornley.   [01/03/20]

Volkswagen closed out the year and said goodbye to the Beetle with a nostalgia-filled animated ad called “The Last Mile” on New Year’s Eve. Earlier in 2019 the company ended production of the iconic car that came to life in the 1930s. The last one rolled out of a Mexican automobile plant in July 2019.    [01/03/20]

The material science engineers at CP-Carrillo have developed a proprietary new alloy for its connecting rods used in drag racing. The CPC 1850 material is about 44% stronger than the standard rod material, which allows the cross-sectional area to be reduced, resulting in weight savings. Because of the strength of the material, the rods will be stiffer on the big end. In addition, the housings will stay a bit rounder and will maintain shape better and longer.   [01/03/20]
