Everything went pretty well for these two bracket cars until the finish line. The “Chuckie’s Toy” 27-T roadster veered left and hit the ’55 Chevy in front of the right rear tire, flipping it onto its roof. The Chevy slid down the track and somehow the roadster also got upside down. Neither driver was injured, but the same can’t be said of their vehicles.

David Hance’s twin-turbo Hemi-powered ‘57 Chevy broke after Saturday night and couldn’t make the call on Sunday. He was running in Automatic Pro Mod class. We’re looking forward to seeing this one again. Hance, from Inwood, NY, did drive a ’93 Mustang to the Sunday Radial Tire win, though.
