9.60 index (open cars, dragsters, Alts, etc.) Nostalgia Elim III had only seven cars show up so number one qualifier, 2008 NHRA Heritage Series Champion and 2009 March Meet Champion, Lindsey Lister, got a single in the first round. She defeated Shawn Lavery in the semi.

In the other semi it would be a single for Tim Beeman as his opponent, Ken Fullerton, had his chute fall out while doing his burnout and backed back over it.

In the final Beeman (shown) took the upset win with a  .068 light and a 9.663 at 133 mph to Lister’s 9.642 with a .103 light.

Doug Davenport in his beautiful dragster matched up against James Black in the semi finals of Nostalgia II (8.60 index). Black’s ‘23 T altered cut a great .018 light to Doug’s .057 r.t. and ran an 8.619 at 154.62 mph for the win as Davenport ran a too-quick 7.583 at 153 mph.

In the other semi, Jason Francen cut a .001 light and ran a right-on 8.605 e.t. at 144.21 mph to put a too-quick Dick Krieger back into the trailer.

So the number 7 qualifier would match up against the number 10 guy Black and Francen were side by side from start to finish as both cut good lights. Francen took the win with a 8.615/148 to Black’s right with him 8.625 e.t. at 154 mph.

Nostalgia Eliminator I (7.60 index) had 25 cars race on Sunday. In the semifinal, #2 qualifier and multi-time NE 1 Champion Dale Taros broke out more than Bobby Cottrell who took the win running a 7.593 at 170 mph to Taros’s way quicker 7.588 at 171.77 mph.
