No Mercy V at SGMP

Small Tires Mean Big Competition

Donald “Duck” Long presented No Mercy V, the largest small-tire race on the planet at South Georgia Motorsports Park on Sept. 25-27. It was an incredible event with cars coming from all over the country and Canada to compete. Spectators packed the event, some coming from as far away as Australia.

The headline class for a $20,000 first prize was PTC Radial vs. The World. Fifty-five cars from 16 states and Canada vied for the 32-car field.


Steve Jackson was the number one qualifier in Radial vs. The World with a 4.102, which held up as low elapsed time of the event.

Steve Jackson brought out a new nitrous Mustang and snared the number one qualifier money with a 4.102 closely followed by Jamie Hancock (4.104) and Duane Mills (4.106). The bump spot for the field was an incredible 4.372.
