Russ is best known for this ’63 Nova which he named ‘wife’s gripe also’. Prior to this car he raced a blown ’55 Chevy gasser at the original Sportsman Park drag strip in Keokuk, Iowa. It must have been Donna’s first gripe?

This fully restored ’54 Pontiac coup is owned by Vern McLelland, a former member and Tri State Dragway volunteer with the ‘Peasants Car Club’. We still have contact with several of the group who were an integral part of our operation at Kahoka. Vern and his wife now live in Golden, Colorado, and are good friends with the Tommy Johnson, Sr. family through the TSD connection.
