RACE REPORTS
AGENT 1320
Jody Austin drives the “BushWhacker” in OFAA competition.
We got a bit behind last week but we’ve caught up on our race coverage now that everyone is back at 100%. The sportsman report from the NHRA Gatornationals is at here.
The Southwest Heritage Racing Association and Outlaw Fuel Altered Association both raced at San Antonio Raceway. The SHRA report by JM Hallas is here while the OFAA report by Chris Graves is here.
The SHRA next races Saturday, March 31, at Northstar Dragway in Denton, TX, while the OFAA heads for Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, OK, on April 14. [03/27/18]
The Agent was chatting with former Pro Stock driver and current ADRL president Larry Morgan today and Morgan mentioned that his Larry Morgan Racing company in Ohio is building engines for Pro Stock Motorcycle teammates Angelle Sampey (shown) and Cory Reed.[03/27/18]
It seems fitting that a company called Jet Hot should be an associate sponsor on Al Hanna’s trio of jet vehicles. Sarah Edwards drives the “Queen of Diamonds II”, Rich Hanna drives the “First Strike” Firebird, and Ken Hall drives the “Top Secret” Firebird.
“We’re the technological leader in the jet car category,” Al Hanna said. “Putting a program together with Jet Hot has us excited. Many years ago we attempted coatings to improve performance of our jet cars but we didn’t have the data to analyze changes. Today we have on-board computers that allow us to understand every update and change we make.
“We are racers in the jet car category and running faster and quicker is always our goal. Jet Hot is an ace in the hole we expect will help us achieve higher goals both on and off the track.”
The first event of the season for the Hanna Motorsports Jets will be April 6-8 at the Memphis Super Chevy Show. [03/27/18]
