A new “Eastern Raider” jet dragster is currently being built for Hanna Motorsports at Dan Page Race Cars with delivery expected in late January.
The “Eastern Raider” name was created by Al Hanna in 1969 and he ran nitro Funny Cars and Top Fuel dragsters under that name for many years. The new jet dragster will feature a combination of exotic materials and high-tech electronic systems.
Driver for the jet will be Josh Graham, 26. Graham began racing a Jr. Dragster and has acquired licenses in four categories. He currently drives a Hemi-powered AA Altered. He will begin training in the jet when it arrives at Hanna Motorsports, which should go smoothly as he already has had seat time in the team’s “Top Secret” jet machine.
First event for the new dragster will be the Super Chevy event at Memphis International Raceway in early April, along with the other two Hanna Motorsports jets. [11/29/18]
