Bo Butner (in sunglasses) and his family and crew. His family encouraged him to stay in Pro Stock.
Bo Butner, the 2017 class champion, has decided to stay in the Pro Stock ranks for next season in addition to participating in the Factory Stock Showdown.
The longtime Sportsman racer had elected to return to his roots and spend more time with his growing family, but when an abbreviated schedule was announced for Pro Stock, Butner and company had to think twice.
With the support of his family, Butner will return to tackle the 18-race Pro Stock tour in 2019. He also remains committed to competing in the eight events of the SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown in his Cobra Jet Mustang.
"I'm a glutton for punishment," joked Butner.
Butner will likely remain in the same KB Racing-owned Jerry Haas-built Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock that he drove last season.
The calls on his car will be made by his crew chief Darrel Herron, along with KB Racing's Tim Freeman. Tyler Hogan, of Hogan's Manifolds, will return, as will Jack Line [Team Summit driver Jason Line's son], as school permits.
Sounds like some good news for the future of Pro Stock. [11/30/18]
We told you on Tuesday that Chevrolet was ceasing production of the Impala brand and then the Agent noticed this car in the catalog of the Barrett-Jackson Auction to be held Jan. 12-20 in Scottsdale, AZ.
This 1959 Impala convertible has been given a frame-off rotisserie restoration. It's equipped with a new 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine, chrome intake manifold, and new 4L65E automatic transmission with RetroTek Smart Shift push-button shifter.
Time to go cruizin’, man! [11/30/18]
