The bitter with the sweet: Gatornationals, Part 8

This shot was taken at the 2007 Gatornationals of Eric Medlen racing his boss, John Force. Tragically, in testing on Monday Eric would make his last pass. However, his death brought many safety changes to the sport.

VP renews as Official Fuel Supplier at Santa Pod Raceway

VP Racing Fuels, Inc., has signed a multi-year extension as the Official Fuel Supplier for Santa Pod Raceway in England.

 

“Drag racing is the most graphic demonstration of making power,” said Marc Wesler, VP’s International Sales Manager. “For over forty years drag racers on both sides of the Atlantic, and everywhere for that matter, have relied on VP power and consistency to fuel their success. Santa Pod is the center of the drag racing universe in Europe, and we are really proud to be extending our relationship with Keith Bartlett and the entire Santa Pod organization.”

 

Santa Pod is the home of the FIA European Drag Racing Championships and hosts over 50 events including National drag race meetings and many more events. Located in Podington, Bedfordshire, England, Santa Pod was built on a retired World War II airbase once used by the U.S. 92nd Bomber Group.   [02/26/19]
